Star Wars: Force Unleashed - Pushed Into "Summer 2008"

Those who were expecting to unleash the force next month with LucasArts' Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, will be disappointed to learn that the game's release date has been changed from a definitive April 8th to Summer 2008. The game may hit store shelves before June 30th, 2008; however, this new release window also opens up the possibility for a release date closer to August or Septemeber. There is currently no word on why the game's release date has been changed but it was recently reported that the Wii version would be getting 5 exclusive levels not present in the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions of the game. It may be the case that these levels have delayed the release of the Wii version and as a result the other versions are also being held back. This is, of course, purely speculation and it is entirely possible that the development team simply needs a bit more time to polish up the final build of the game.
